Vapor-Clean Filter

The Vapor-Clean™ by Dynasthetics is an FDA-cleared activated charcoal filter system designed to eliminate residual anesthetic vapors from anesthesia machines, ensuring a safe environment for patients susceptible to Malignant Hyperthermia (MH). By effectively absorbing trace amounts of isoflurane, sevoflurane, and desflurane, Vapor-Clean™ allows any anesthesia machine to be vapor-free (less than 5 parts per million) within 90 seconds.

• Rapid Vapor Elimination: When placed on the inspiratory and expiratory ports of the anesthesia machine, Vapor-Clean™ filters reduce anesthetic vapor concentration to below 5 parts per million in under 90 seconds, facilitating quick preparation for MH-susceptible patients. 

• Universal Compatibility: Vapor-Clean™ filters are compatible with all anesthesia machines and can be used with both standard two-limb and coaxial breathing circuits, providing flexibility across various clinical settings. 

• Single-Use Design: Each set of Vapor-Clean™ filters is intended for single-patient use, ensuring optimal performance and preventing cross-contamination. A new pair of filters should be used for each patient and replaced after every hour of use to maintain efficacy. 

• Extended Shelf Life: With a minimum shelf life of two years, Vapor-Clean™ filters offer long-term storage capabilities, making them a cost-effective addition to anesthesia preparedness protocols. 

Applications:

• Malignant Hyperthermia Management: In the event of an MH crisis, Vapor-Clean™ filters can be quickly installed to curtail further exposure to anesthetic vapors without delaying the administration of dantrolene or switching to manual ventilation. 

• Anesthesia Machine Preparation: By utilizing Vapor-Clean™ filters, clinicians can standardize the preparation of anesthesia machines for MH-susceptible patients, reducing costly operating room delays and ensuring patient safety.
